Drug and Alcohol Education Course Online

The Texas Education Agency has recently approved the first online Drug and Alcohol Driving Awareness Program. This program is a 6 hour online course was originally created for insurance discount purposes only (typically a 5% discount with regulated insurance companies). Under Texas law (section 469.007 of the Health and Safety Code) covering Drug Court Programs, this online drug and alcohol course can be taken by persons convicted of drug and alcohol related offenses. Although the law allows for Judges and Courts to accept this course, the discretion is still on the Judge and because this course is new, it is recommended that those interested in taking this online DADAP course, first verify it's acceptance with the Court prior to starting.

The online course covers in detail how alcohol and drugs affect your body physically and phsychologically, which ultimately also affect the driving task. You will read text, participate in various exercises, and watch some videos throughout the course. Upon completion of the course you will be mailed a completion certificate to either present to your insurance company or to the Court. This is the first online drug and alcohol education course that we are aware of, so check out www.dadaponline.com for additional information.
